Irene is a Spanish-born behavioral artist who lives and works in Berlin. She was spotted working as a guard at the 6th Berlin Biennale in August 2010. This interview was filmed spontaneously a few minutes after spotting her. Her works can be seen at her web site: http://ireneizquierdo.wordpress.com
Also in this video, are two singers… One day I was walking on the street in Berlin and I overheard singing from an open first-floor window. I began filming the singers right from the window as they sang. They offered to come in, and I couldn’t refuse to capture their performance. That was Samba, who is from Senegal, and Katrin. They met in Berlin and formed a duo.
I was riding my bike on the streets of Berlin, next thing you know I see this guy on a bike that has loaded bags on the side of both wheels and a map on the handle bars. Turns out that he bicycled from Holland and traveling on his bike for several months. I couldn’t resist the urge to propose to film him for this project, he even gave me his tripod he had on his bike (he’s a photographer), so we filmed it right there on the spot, even though it started raining like crazy…
Enjoy!
